IdeaSoft is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner to join our delivery team for a new project, a rapidly evolving Web3/FinTech product.
The BA/PO will play a central role in leading Discovery, shaping the product vision & MVP, driving requirements, and ensuring alignment between business goals, compliance considerations, and technical implementation throughout the entire SDLC.
This role requires a specialist with strong Web3 expertise, excellent client-facing communication, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with incomplete inputs.
Requirements:
Conduct end-to-end discovery:
Gather business goals, constraints, compliance considerations, and technical input.
Lead workshops with the client.
Elicit functional and non-functional requirements.
Identify missing inputs, open questions, edge cases, and risks.
Translate high-level ecosystem vision into a structured MVP scope and phased roadmap.
Documentation Management:
Produce the Discovery deliverables.
Maintain a clear and organized requirements repository.
Create a user story map, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
Ensure backlog completeness, prioritization, and continuous refinement.
Support designers with detailed flow definitions and UX clarifications.
Solution Design & Specification:
Collaborate with the Tech Lead to shape the architecture, integration mapping, and constraints.
Define future scalability paths and ensure MVP design does not block long-term vision.
Create technical specification documents and interface contracts for 3rd-party providers.
Participate in risk assessment, validate feasibility, and propose alternatives.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact between IdeaSoft and the founder/investor team.
Communicate complex technical and blockchain concepts in an accessible way.
Ensure expectation alignment on scope, timelines, trade-offs, and dependencies.
Support the PM with clarification, change management, and scope control during implementation.
Responsibilities:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner/Manager
Hands-on experience launching blockchain-based products, especially:non-custodial wallets,DEX/CEX integrations, portfolio tracking tools, token sales / presale modules.
Experience in integrating with 3rd party services (e.g., on/off-ramps, payment providers, custodians, etc.)
Experience conducting and facilitating Discovery Phases (vision, requirements, workshops, documentation).
Experience working directly with founders, investors, and high-stakes stakeholders.
Experience in managing customer expectations, facilitating and guiding workshops with stakeholders.
Comfortable turning complex ideas into engaging presentations, proposals and requirements.
Knowledge & Expertise:
Strong understanding of Web3 technologies, EVM chains, wallet architectures, tokens, and DeFi fundamentals.
Understanding of non-custodial key management, signing flows, gas estimation, swaps, liquidity aggregation.
Familiarity with regulated market contexts (KYC/AML, VARA, compliance alignment) is a strong advantage.
Solid understanding of Agile SDLC, requirements lifecycle, and iterative delivery.
Experience participating in user journey mapping, epic structuring, solution ideation, and backlog formation.
Documentation Skills
Ability to produce clear, structured, and developer-ready documentation, including user story maps, functional requirements, BPMN/UML diagrams, wireframes, mind maps, infographics, etc.
Ability to structure and orchestrate information architecture effectively within the project.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
Strong skills in business analysis, requirements management and product management.
Strong logical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify edge cases and corner scenarios.
Capability to provide practical solutions and recommendations for product development.
Advanced knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Draw.io, FigJam Miro, or similar.
Able to express ideas, thoughts, and questions simply, concisely, and in a structured way.
