Deputy CTO

Vacancy Description

We are looking for a specialist for our client, a large-scale enterprise blockchain platform building financial infrastructure for governments, corporations, and large institutions.
The platform focuses on secure and scalable blockchain solutions for institutional use. Its core network is already live, with an active product roadmap ahead. Key areas include stablecoin infrastructure and custodial and non-custodial wallets.

Requirements:
7+ years in tech, including time in a technical leadership, technical product, or technical-communication role (Head of Engineering, Technical Product Owner/Manager, Engineering Manager, or Deputy/Associate CTO);
Enough architectural/technical background to understand how a complex platform is built and how its parts fit together — the role is about understanding and explaining the system, not owning the code;
Conceptual knowledge of blockchain/Web3 (networks/L2, EVM, ZK, wallets, staking, stablecoins) — deep protocol expertise is not required, but the person must be able to follow these topics and explain them clearly;
Proven ability to represent engineering to executives and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical status, risks, and constraints into clear, structured business updates;
Able to engage with a modern stack (TypeScript, Rust, Go, cloud/Kubernetes) at a conceptual level, without needing to code in it.

Responsibilities:
Represent the CTO in day-to-day on-site communication with company leadership;
Stay closely informed about ongoing projects, technical initiatives, team progress, risks, and blockers;
Translate technical context and the team’s current work into clear, structured, and business-friendly status updates.
Handle status-related and general technical questions from leadership without requiring the CTO’s constant involvement;
Collect questions, requests, and feedback from leadership and communicate them back to the CTO and engineering team;
Ensure that leadership and the technical team have a consistent and accurate understanding of priorities, progress, and current challenges;
Identify and escalate topics that require the CTO’s technical expertise or decision-making.
